We are Duncan and Sarah Ellson and we love fresh, local, produce. That’s why we set up Shropshire’s Own in 2012. We’ve always enjoyed shopping in local farm shops but found we’d often leave frustrated because we couldn’t buy everything we wanted in one place. We’d then shop online with one of the supermarkets and have our order delivered - so we thought why not provide the same delivery service with a new online farm shop, here in Shropshire?

Here in Shropshire, we are surrounded by so many wonderful food producers, and now lots of their products are available in one place (your home!) Take a good look around our website – you’ll find an amazing variety of fresh farm produce and artisan-made foods including local meat and poultry, fresh fruit and veg, handmade cheeses, farm-fresh milk, freshly baked bread and a range of quality grocery items such as relishes, sauces and cakes, along with eggs from our own free range chickens (& ducks), and our own heritage & heirloom variety  Shropshire sown vegetables grown on a 10-acre smallholding, near Shrewsbury.

We both grew up with a love of home-grown food. My Dad has always been a keen vegetable grower and my grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather all worked as professional gardeners here in the Shropshire countryside. (Our children are pretty handy with a garden fork too!)
